Carlos Ott has designed projects constructed in Argentina, Canada, China, France, Germany, India, Malaysia, Panama, Puerto Rico, Dominican Republic, Singapore, Sri Lanka, The United Arab Emirates, the United States of America, and Uruguay.
He has won many prestigious recognitions and awards for his work in Europe, the Middle East, China, North America, and Latin America. In 1983 Ott was selected from 744 candidates in an international competition to design the Opera de la Bastille in Paris.
In addition to awards connected to specific projects, Ott has been recognized with a gold medal from the Uruguayan Faculty of Architecture in 1990, the Distinguished Alumni award from the University of Washington in 1997, and the Viruvio Award from the Museo de Bellas Artes in Buenos Aires in 1997.

Punta Shopping Mall 1994-1997: The Punta del Este Shopping Mall is a structure comprised of interconnecting conical shapes with natural light coming in from the top.
Punta del Este Airport (Aeropuerto Internacional C/C Carlos A. Curbelo) 1995-1997: The Punta del Este Airport has a unique design with roof plains that suggest plane wings.
Antel Building (ANTEL Telecommunications Towner) 1996-2002: This dramatic 34 floor tower overlooks the port of Montevideo.

Carlos Ott's Residential Projects in Punta del Este
In Punta del Este Carlos Ott has designed a couple of very modern single family residences. One is under construction overlooking the sea in José Ignacio.
Laguna Escondida is a developing community that will provide home sites for high end villas and a luxury hotel in José Ignacio.
Carlos Ott has also designed two completed residential towers in Punta del Este. One is the Sea & Forest Tower and the other is the Seasons' Tower (Pictured), both on the Mansa side of the Punta del Este Peninsula.
A new Punta del Este area residential tower by Carlos Ott, called Summer Tower, is starting construction, and is scheduled to be completed in 2012.
