Uruguay National Surfing Contest Video - 2012

Surfing in Uruguay?
You bet-ya.
Surfing is big in South America, and while Uruguay doesn't have the famous waves of Peru or Southern Brazil, there is plenty of opportunity to have fun.

Following are a couple of videos from the recent Uruguay National Surf Circuit 2012, sponsored by Pilsen (A Uruguayan beer). The contest was held at a surf spot known as La Plage on Punta del Este's Brava Beach at Parada 12.

The first video includes scenes from several divisions - complete with some wave-driving rhythms and Matrix-like slow motion scenes near the end.

The second video is mostly long-boarding and the award ceremony.
